Everyone wishes to be joyful but desires are not always fulfilled and sometimes they are very disappointing, that you are left with either no results or unsatisfactory results. This becomes your reality then, and you don’t like it, you want to escape it and you would do anything for it. This puts you into depression and it completely makes you so dark and gloomy from the inside that it feels like acid burning your skull. It is very horrible and everyone faces depression at one point or the other, for different reasons, each having a unique reason for it. It is healing that most people get over it but not everyone is lucky enough. Mental illnesses make you tired and exhaust you both physically and mentally. And you won’t really know what depression and anxiety do to people until you go through it. So at least we can try not to judge them and try to really know how they are.
So this 22-year-old mental health advocate and visual artist Pauline Palita have explained why depression makes people so tired and it’s going viral on Twitter. She said “I’ve been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I’ve decided to become a mental health advocate because I knew there were a lot of people out there fighting the same silent battles. I know how hard it is to deal with this kind of illness, the feeling for not taking your condition seriously. I also know a lot of people out there who don’t have the ability to speak about it. The only thing I can do is spread and raise awareness, [trying to] end the stigma around mental illnesses.”
